The 2008 Sussex Interleague Knockout Cup event will take place on Sunday 8th June at Chichester Snooker Club, Terminus Road, Chichester.
The format of the day will be 2 round robin groups where each team plays each over over 18 frames. Each match will be played over 2 tables.
The winner and runner up of each group will proceed to the semi finals, the winner of each group playing the runner up in the other over the best of 18 frames. Matches will be played over 3 tables.
There will be a need for a 3rd/4th place match to determine order of finishing in this event and assists when submitting bids for National Finals.
Teams will need to be at the venue for 10.30 for an 11.00 prompt start as there is a lot to complete on the day.
As previously advised there will be a small entry fee per team to cover administration of £10 per team and this is payable to Andy Palmer on the day. if paying by cheque please make payable to Sussex County Pool Association.
The draw for the event will take place on Sunday 1st June at Chichester Snooker Club (at the next County game) and will be conducted by Dave Tildesley, Chairman and Graham, manager of the Snooker Club.
This event will determine the order in which Sussex teams will be put forward for the Knockout Cup National Finals in October at Great Yarmouth.
Please note that Sussex are only guarenteed 2 entry spots into this event however we as a county will be trying to gain invites for as many teams as we can. previous years we have managed to achieve up to 5 entries in total however please note there is no guarentee that this will be the same this year.
